Abstract
According to Global Point Carbon, the global carbon market had revenues of US$
34.5 billion in 2006. Moreover, according to Point Carbon, the European ETS
accounted for no less than 60.0 percent of the volume, and over 80.0 percent
of the value, transacting 1 billion tons of carbon dioxide worth nearly US$
27.0 18 billion. This was a substantial growth of 24.3 percent in CO2 volume
when compared to 2005.
