Abstract
Video services (initially broadcast and ultimately interactive) are essential
for Communication Service Providers to retain the status of a preferred CSP of
consumer services. Improvement in copper plant and continued deployment of
fiber-to-home is essential to provide these services.However, equipment
vendors are striving to provide a differentiating feature set, to work closely
with Communication Service Provider to enable IPTV roll out, and an end-to-end
solution from home networking into the core of Communications Service Provider
networks.
