Abstract
This Guide to Marketing POF products to the Tier 1 suppliers in the Automotive Industry has been
put together to assist POF companies in marketing their products to the automotive industry. The
automakers do not want to deal with a myriad of small companies, but rather would deal with a larger
more well established company. A larger company may not have the appropriate technology and may look
to smaller companies to provide a product to fill out their product line or plug a hole in their
product line.
Hence, this guide consists of two groups of companies:
- 1. Companies already involved in providing POF systems to the auto industry, and
- 2. Companies that may have the need to partner with companies with POF technology. This latter
group consists of wire harness manufacturers, electronic and electrical systems providers, original
equipment suppliers, and after market electronic equipment suppliers.
