Abstract
This Government Insights report addresses key issues, conditions, and
challenges that government officials and organizations must address as they
perform their roles and responsibilities in information technology strategic
planning, investment decision making, and technology program delivery.
"The government market in Canada is the second-largest vertical industry for
technology spending, with over $5.5 billion targeted for 2008. Government
business needs are forcing multi-jurisdictional cooperation, widespread
consolidation, integration, and interoperability of systems and information
sharing to make better decisions," says Alison Brooks, research director,
Government Insights.
