Abstract
This Government Insights report presents our top 10 predictions for Western
European government for 2008. It addresses key issues, conditions, and
challenges that government officials and organizations must address as they
perform their roles and responsibilities in information technology strategic
planning, investment decision-making, and technology program delivery. It also
provides guidance for those global and local ICT vendors that will provide
products and services in support of government modernization.
According to Silvia Piai, senior research analyst of Government Insights and
Thom Rubel global research director of Government Insights, "governments should
develop metrics and frameworks for evaluating and incorporating IT services
into their portfolios."
