Abstract
Health Industry Insights believes that the medical information system
implemented by the regional health agency of the Balearic Islands can set an
important example for other health organizations throughout Europe.
In this case study Health Industry Insights analyzes how and why the regional
health agency of the Balearic Islands decided to implement a new health
information strategy centered on electronic medical records and based on IT
infrastructure standardization and integration.
