Abstract
Microfluidic technologies enable researchers to perform more experiments in a
shorter period of time with less precious sample and less costly reagents. Life
Science Insights believes that the laboratory acceptance of microfluidic
technologies will increase as issues pertaining to reliability, reproducibility,
and sensitivity are optimized. Zachary Zimmerman, Ph.D., IDCs senior research
analyst, "envisions the implementation of Calipers microfluidic
technologies into broader life science technology areas such as molecular
diagnostics including biomarker and metabolite discovery and analysis."
