Abstract
This IDC study presents a demographic profile of Hispanic-owned small businesses and discusses the nature of the opportunity they represent for providers of advanced technology products and services. Roughly 2% of all small businesses in the United States are Hispanic owned, and the number has been growing and will continue to grow at a faster rate than small businesses in general.
"Hispanic-owned businesses are a strong and growing economic force in the United States," says Merle Sandler, senior research analyst in the SMB and Home Office programs at IDC. "Technology vendors who do not already have a strategy in place to attract Hispanic-owned businesses are missing the chance to appeal directly to an important group of potential customers."
