Abstract
This IDC study presents IDCs most recent forecast of the worldwide broadband services market,
segmented by major geographic region. The purpose of this study is to identify and quantify the
market opportunity within each major geographic region and to present recommended strategies for
broadband service providers to take advantage of these opportunities.
The analysis in this study includes the following:
- An assessment of the various broadband technologies currently deployed worldwide and a
discussion of recent trends in the global broadband services market
- Forecasts of worldwide broadband services subscriptions and revenue by geographic region,
including the United States, Europe, Asia/Pacific, and the rest of the world (ROW), and by
