Western European Human Capital Management and Payroll Applications Forecast, 2006-2010

Abstract

This IDC study highlights the revenue forecast for human capital management and payroll application markets in Western Europe from 2006 to 2010. For the first time, IDC segments the human capital management market in Western Europe into five distinct functional segments and forecasts. The study also provides forecasts at the country level.

The growth of the $1.6 billion human capital management and payroll application market in Western Europe will be driven by corporate compliance, talent scarcity in Europe, Software as a service (SaaS) offerings bringing HCM applications to a wider audience, HCM analytics, operational consolidation around shared service centers, and HR and payroll service providers adopting packaged software. "Adoption of strategic HR applications, such as HR performance management, incentive management, and erecruiting, will increase significantly as large organization are focusing on attracting, developing, and retaining talent to stimulate growth," said Bo Lykkegaard, program manager, European Enterprise Applications.
