Abstract
The second of two spring 2005 High-Performance Computing (HPC) User Forum
international meetings took place in Zürich, Switzerland, on June 1 and 2 and
was hosted by ETH Zürich and cosponsored by HPCwire. The principal tasks of the
meeting were to promote dialogue between U.S. and European HPC users, vendors,
and IDC for improving the health of the HPC industry and to exchange
information about HPC user successes and issues in government, industry, and
academia. (Separate notes are available from IDC for the first spring 2005 HPC
User Forum meeting that took place in Bologna, Italy, on May 29-30, 2006 [see
May 2006 HPC User Forum Meeting Notes, IDC #202661, forthcoming].)
