Abstract
This IDC study examines the buying patterns and preferences of organizations
based in Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ. This year, the report covers
organizations (public and private) of all sizes. This document provides
detailed results and analysis on a regional (total/average) vertical basis.
Verticalization is increasingly becoming a key differentiator for many carriers
and service providers, thus the need to understand specific vertical needs.
"Service providers should focus on introducing applications as value-added
services to spur migration to converged networks. In a sense, IP VPN and
value-added services may form a 'positive chicken and egg situation' whereby
demand for value-added services can spur demand for IP VPN and demand for IP
VPN can spur demand for value-added services and applications," says Claus
Mortensen, research manager, IDC Asia/Pacific.
