Abstract
This study contains an assessment of the Western European cable modem equipment
market in 2005 and a forecast for the 2006-2010 period. Shipment and revenue
expectations are provided, by country, for cable modem termination systems
(CMTS) and cable modems.
"VoIP and increasing bandwidth are key requirements for cable operators," said
Jan Hein Bakkers, research manager at IDC, "They are the driving force behind
both replacement and expansion sales of cable modem equipment."
