Abstract
This study covers the Western European market for human capital management and
payroll applications. Previous studies have analyzed these markets in
conjunction, as they are closely inter-related. This time a more granular split
of the human capital management applications market will be applied, providing
insight into Core HR, workforce management, erecruiting, incentive management,
and HR performance management.
"Applications for payroll processing and personnel administration continues to
make up the bulk of the European HCM and payroll applications market," said Bo
Lykkegaard, program manager for European Enterprise Applications at IDC.
"However, in terms of high-growth niche vendors and general R&D investment
focus, the market now evolves around the so-called ' strategic HR' applications
to manage workforce planning and deployment, HR performance, recruiting, and
incentives and bonuses. SAP and Oracle lead today' s market and are well
positioned for future growth. However, HCM and payroll specialists such as
Bluegarden, Meta4, Carmen Systems, and HR Access lead the market in terms of
relative growth."
