Abstract
This IDC study analyzes in detail the China insurance solution market and the
competitive landscape for 2005. It also presents dynamics and forecasts for the
insurance IT application solution segments, particularly for the insurance IT
application solution market over the next five years as well as the top
solution providers of each insurance solution segment in 2005. IT spending by
solution and geographical area is also reviewed, as is the future of the
insurance solution market.
"The insurance IT solution market was estimated at RMB 518.7 million in 2005,
representing 60.0% of the overall insurance software and IT services market.
The core business system segment will continue to account for the majority
share of total insurance solution revenue in China. Decision support systems
and online insurance systems will emerge as key areas of interest in China' s
insurance IT application in the next four years, with compound annual growth
rates (CAGRs) forecast at 24.1% and 22.5%, respectively," says Judy Ou, market
analyst, China Software and Services Group, IDC China.
