Abstract
This IDC study provides revenue breakdowns of close to 100 major vendors that
have gained the biggest shares in nine human capital management (HCM)
applications segments: core HR, erecruiting, incentive management, performance
management, workforce management, software as a service (SaaS), large
enterprise (more than 5,000 employees), midsize enterprise (500-5,000
employees), and small enterprise (fewer than 500 employees). Additionally, the
study offers in-depth profiles of the top HCM vendors in each of the nine
segments, examining their positioning as well as the strengths and weaknesses
of their strategies.
Top vendors in different segments of the HCM market have benefited from
widespread adoptions of not just their core HR automation products, but
increasingly specific solutions for corporate objectives such as online
performance management and workforce optimization.
Albert Pang, IDC enterprise applications research director, said, "As the HCM
market becomes more fragmented than ever, it' s time for users to fully
understand the strengths and weaknesses of their technology providers as well
as the inherent risks of vendor viability and long-term support of these
best-of-breed products.' '
