Abstract
This IDC study presents the forecast for the VoIP carrier equipment market in
Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ covering the 2006-2010 period. This
document covers network infrastructure developments as well as forecast data on
market revenue with qualitative analysis for 10 countries: Australia, Hong
Kong, India, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, China, Singapore, Taiwan, and
Thailand.
"The VoIP carrier equipment market in APEJ is expected to show strong growth
until 2010," says Stephanie Wong, contributing analyst, IDC Asia/Pacific. "VoIP
network equipment deployments are no longer driven solely by offerings of VoIP
services. They are an integral component of next-generation networks (NGNs);
hence, IDC foresees that deployments will persevere despite the falling VoIP
service revenues," she adds.
