Abstract
This study defines and analyzes the emergence of fixed-mobile convergence (FMC)
services in the Western European market and their current and future impact on
the SMB sector. It focuses on what FMC is, why it is attractive to providers
and SMB customers, what services are already available, and the current and
future plans of SMBs with regard to FMC service adoption.
"The real benefits of FMC need to become apparent to the SMB community in
Europe before we see significant takeup of services," said Eric Owen, VP EMEA
Telecoms Research. "Most small companies don' t really understand what true FMC
is at this point in time."
