Abstract
This IDC study looks into the communication adoption trends of the
manufacturing vertical segment. Further analysis is carried out by segmenting
the manufacturing vertical by company size.
"The manufacturing vertical sector has always been one of the most lucrative
segment to both IT and telecom suppliers and hence, understanding the needs and
requirements of this sector is essential. 2006 looked optimistic with about 33%
of the manufacturing companies surveyed citing an expected increase in IT and
telecom spending and cost and branding are some of the essential factors that
manufacturing companies look at when choosing a telecom service provider," says
