Abstract
This IDC study presents our best estimates for the largest worldwide software
vendor revenue segmented by vertical and company size. This study segments the
worldwide CY06 software revenue of the 50 largest software vendors segmented by
18 industries and 7 company size segments. Vertical and company size
segmentations are not interlocked. "Vendors often ask us to identify who the
leading vendors are in a particular industry or company size segment," said
Jessica Goepfert, program director. "To assist vendors with their competitor,
partner, and opportunity assessment, we' ve analyzed the largest software
vendors in the world by industry and company size."
