Abstract
This IDC study looks at the spending patterns of services in the storage space.
By 2011, IDC expects the Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ storage
services markets to reach US$3.86 billion. This 12.7% compound annual growth
rate (CAGR) over the forecast period will be primarily driven by strong growth
in the People' s Republic China (PRC) and India.
"Some of the key drivers for storage services growth in the region include
virtualization and storage consolidation, which may negatively impact the
procurement of storage hardware, but positively impact the use of storage
software and services in the region," says Eugene Wee, research manager, IT
Services, IDC Asia/Pacific.
