Abstract
This IDC study presents what IDC' s Personal Computing team predicts will be the
top 10 events impacting the personal computing industry in 2008. Each
prediction is derived from a more extensive research project or document
completed by the team.
"2008 looks to be a turning point for the PC industry, with the adoption of
educational laptops, the shift toward mobility happening quicker than expected,
and innovative PC gadgets making their way into the market," says Doug Bell,
