Abstract
This IDC study discusses IBM' s TotalStorage enterprise storage systems, the
DS6800 and DS8000. Available for a wide range of platforms, these systems are
predominately used in IBM mainframe, iSeries, and pSeries environments.
"The IBM TotalStorage DS6000 and DS8000 series offers excellent scalability,
connectivity, and performance for all IBM platforms above the xSeries. These
enterprise offerings address the full range of customer storage requirements
and have provided IBM the opportunity to regain the market share lost in 2004
and 2005," said William Roch, research director, IDC' s Asset Valuation Service.
