Abstract
This IDC study examines the market for software products that leverage image
capture hardware to provide SMBs, workgroups, and departments with document
capture, processing, and storage of paper and electronic documents. This user
base is realizing that current processes for handling documents can be enhanced
and optimized with the offerings provided by paper/digital document management
solutions. This study discusses the market in 2006 and provides projections in
U.S. dollars for both the United States and worldwide from 2007 through 2011.
"The market for paper/digital document management software and solutions
continues to increase at a healthy CAGR of 13.8% and should continue despite
growth pressures being identified for 2008," said Michael Orasin, IDC' s
research manager for Document Solutions.
