Abstract
This IDC study (which is a translation of the Japanese report IDC #J8120103)
presents an outlook of the Japan storage market in 2008 from various
perspectives such as technologies, issues faced by users, investment trends,
social environment changes, and vendor strategies. Besides this, this study
will also look at the business opportunities opened to storage vendors in this
market.
"In 2008, the Japan storage market will continue to see a diversification of
needs and the emergence of new business opportunities. Other than cost and
user-friendliness, success in the newly created markets will also hinge on how
fast storage vendors can reach out to users with new needs," observes Masaaki
Moriyama, Group Director, Storage/Server/Printer, IDC Japan.
