Abstract
This IDC study highlights the results of the fourth annual Enterprise VoIP
Survey conducted by IDC in conjunction with InfoWorld magazine. Completed in
June 2007, this was a Web-based survey of readers of InfoWorld, all of whom
were located in the United States. This study focuses on the results from
questions about the current status of respondents' telephony equipment and
which solutions U.S. enterprises are planning to install over the next 12
months.
"Despite the technology evolution of IP telephony solutions offered today, our
survey data shows that IP telephony penetration among U.S. enterprises is still
limited in terms of depth of deployment, the vendors considered, and the
location of telephony equipment," states Nora Freedman, senior analyst,
Enterprise Networks.
