This IDC study outlines the market opportunities for Internet datacenter (iDC)
in India. This study also gives profiles and competitive analyses of the
leading service providers (SPs) in this market. Moreover, this study outlines
the major issues and challenges that these SPs face in today' s marketplace.
"The India iDC is one of the fastest-growing markets in the Asia/Pacific
region. However, the market is still very much at the infancy stage and SPs
have only just started to climb up the value-chain ladder," says Adrian Dominic
Ho, research manager, Managed Services and Enterprise Networks, IDC
Asia/Pacific. "However, there are several factors out there that could throw a
spanner in the works including rising cost of land and shortage of skilled
labor. More importantly, the vast majority of iDCs are now running at or close
to full capacity," he adds.
