Abstract
In this IDC study, we present a market forecast and analysis of China unified
communications (UC) revenue. The study takes into account the enterprise IP
telephony equipment revenue forecast (inclusive of pure IP PBX, hybrid IP PBX,
and IP phone shipments) as well as UC applications revenue forecast (inclusive
of unified messaging, instant messaging, voice and Web conferencing,
videoconferencing, and IP contact center revenue. Additionally, an assessment
of the current competitive landscape of the China UC market is included.
"In 2007, IDC estimates that the size of the China unified communications
market is approximately US$396.5 million. This figure is forecast to more than
double by 2011, at which time IDC expects China UC spending to reach US$968.7
million," says Milly Xiang, research manager, Telecom Research, IDC China.
