Abstract

This IDC study presents and analyses the attitudes of enterprises towards emerging technologies and services in Australia. IDC highlights communication technology trends and provides insights into the telecom requirements, demand-side attitudes, as well as user expectations towards various broadband and IP technologies and services.

"Australia businesses are continuing their strong adoption of broadband and IP services, which will continue for the foreseeable future. A forced move to next-generation data networking technology by 2010 and macroeconomic issues such as skills shortages and low unemployment will mean that businesses will seek further technology solutions to resolve these inhibiting business growth issues," says David Cannon, program manager, Telecommunications, IDC Australia.
