Abstract
This document presents IDC' s top 10 predictions for 2008 for the Western
European fixed-line telecoms market.
"For several reasons, telecoms operators are casting themselves as providers of
solutions, not plumbing, and this is driving much of the change we expect to
see in 2008, overlaid by major external forces like regulation and green IT,"
said James Eibisch, research director of IDC' s European Telco Strategies
research.
