Abstract
This study provides IDC' s top 10 predictions for the Western European VoIP
market in 2008.
"VoIP and its different flavors, SIP Trunking, voice over broadband or hosted
VoIP, are the next evolution in fixed-voice telecoms. Concerns about security
and QoS are not valid anymore. Instead we will witness greater importance of
VoIP applications and overall service management, in addition to cost
reductions, in 2008," said Angela Salmeron, research manager at IDC' s European
Telecoms and Networking group.
