Abstract
This IDC study presents the 1H07 update for the VoIP carrier equipment market
in Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ covering the 2007-2011 period. This
study covers network infrastructure developments as well as forecast data on
market revenue with qualitative analysis for 10 countries: Australia, Hong
Kong, India, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, the People' s Republic of China
(PRC), Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand.
"After experiencing a booming market in 2006, the APEJ region (consisting of
the 10 aforementioned countries) is expected to grow sequentially at 23% in
2007," says Bill Rojas, research director, Communications, IDC Asia/Pacific.
"The rollout of next-generation networks (NGNs) is positively seeing to the
implementation of VoIP network equipment across the region," he adds.
