Abstract
This IDC study (which is a translation of the Japanese report IDC #J7010107)
presents an updated forecast of the enterprise VoIP equipment market from 2007
to 2011 based on the analysis of the market in 1H07 and vendor shares. IDC
forecasts that the enterprise VoIP equipment market in 1H07 reached 53.1
billion yen and that the market size will reach 102.9 billion yen in 2011.
"The focus of the enterprise VoIP equipment market will shift to the SMB
market. VoIP equipment vendors and sales channels should provide equipment that
suits the user scale, develop software-oriented VoIP equipment business, and
provide service packages," observes Takashi Manabe, Research Manager,
Communications, IDC Japan.
