End-User Budgets Are There - But Economic Downturn Sets High Expectations for Clear Results of Investments

Abstract

In this Insight we look at 700 European enterprises' IT budgets for 2008, comparing changes in budget growth to a previous survey. We examine the total IT spending, including internal cost, total external IT budget, and external IT services budget, and discuss which impact the current credit crunch will have on the IT budgets for 2008. The information is based on IDC' s survey of more than 700 European enterprises across seven key countries and regions, as well as four company size groups and eight verticals.
