Abstract
This IDC study compares regional trends involving mobile workers using the
results from IDC' s worldwide Mobile.
Enterprise Worker Survey. IDC fielded the survey in August 2007 with a total of
1,781 respondents across the United States, Western Europe (represented by the
United Kingdom, France, and Germany), and the Asia/Pacific region (consisting
of China and India). Respondents participated via an online survey in English
or translated into the language of their country.
"It is clear that the mobile worker will continue to gain importance as new
devices emerge and business applications continue to take advantage of new
functionality," said Matt Davis, program director, Business Multiplay Services.
"Service providers need to recognize this trend and bundle mobile business
subscriptions as aggressively as they have bundled mobility in the consumer
arena."
