This IDC study provides a top-down sizing of the business analytics services
market in 2007 and a 2008-2012 forecast for this market. Historical and
forecast revenue data is shown for the total worldwide market. This study does
not contain vendor-specific revenue, market shares, or vendor profiles.
"The business analytics services market is expected to continue to grow through
2012. While we expect the downturn in the economy to impact the market in the
second half of 2008 and into 2009, the reduction in forecast growth reflects a
minor impact. We will not see the kind of reduction in spending that impacted
the market in 2001 and 2002," said Brian McDonough, research manager of
business analytics at IDC.
