Abstract
This study presents and analyzes the results of key CRM issues from IDC' s
European Vertical Markets Survey 2007. More specifically, the study examines
European attitudes and plans for CRM solutions. The European Vertical Markets
Survey 2007 was carried out in August/November 2007 among 2,077 companies with
more than 20 employees in the U.K., France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. Finally,
the study provides essential guidance on key strategic priorities for CRM
vendors.
More than 16% of European companies are looking to improve their CRM system by
investing to build a new solution or enhance the old one. This result means
that almost a quarter of companies with a CRM application are actively
investing to improve their current solution. "Our survey hints that the U.K.,
Italy, and Germany will see the most CRM traction as these countries have the
highest proportions of companies investing to build a new CRM solution or to
enhance the old one. In terms of company size, amid solid interest across all
segments, small companies appear most eager to invest in new CRM solutions,"
said Bo Lykkegaard, research director, European Enterprise Applications at IDC.
