This IDC study provides a market sizing of the applications development and
deployment (AD&D) software market in 2007 and a 2008-2012 for this market.
Country-level breakdowns for 13 Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ
countries, and relevant trends, market drivers and inhibitors are also
discussed.
"APEJ' s AD&D market slightly surpassed IDC' s original forecast by growing at an
estimated 14.5%, driven by strong performance in some APEJ countries especially
India, the People' s Republic of China (PRC), and Australia. Despite a
heightened level of macroeconomic uncertainties, IDC expects the AD&D market to
nearly double in size to hit US$6 billion by 2012, with India and the PRC being
