Abstract
IDC' s annual European WAN Manager Survey provides a valuable measure of
companies' changing use of communications technology and services. This latest
survey for 2007 includes the results of interviews with 667 end-user
organizations across Western Europe, and shows how areas such as voice/data
convergence, VoIP, FMC, and ICT services are progressing, as well as the use of
standard fixed voice and data services.
According to James Eibisch, research director for IDC' s European Telco
Strategies, "this year' s survey shows again that European businesses are moving
forward with network convergence and that IP-based network services dominate."
