Abstract
This IDC study presents results from the 2008 IDC/AIIM Content Applications
Survey of approximately 300 content management professionals and examines
buying trends as well as drivers and barriers to adoption of content
applications.
"Putting ' unstructured' information to work in the organization continues to be
a top strategic priority, and the market for content applications continues to
be underpenetrated," said Melissa Webster, program vice president, Content and
Digital Media Technologies. "As our survey results show, compliance, the need
to make knowledge workers more productive, and the need to improve operational
efficiency are all important drivers for continued investment in content
applications."
