Abstract
This IDC study (which is a translation of the Japanese report IDC #J8210101)
analyses the market trend of Japan enterprise WLAN equipments market in 2006
and its future prospects.
"An advantage of enterprise WLAN solutions that vendors should emphasize to
users is that the improvement in WLAN data network quality and manageability in
a highly dense environment that has many access points. However, vendors should
continue to work on support for VoWLAN in the future. Even when they are
strengthening the functions of VoWLAN, vendors should also improve sales to
users who used WLAN mainly for data communications as part of their short-term
business expansion plan," observes Kenichi Kusano, market analyst,
Communications, IDC Japan.
