Abstract
This IDC study provides U.S. market forecast for high-speed document imaging
scanners from 2008 to 2012. In this study, the following questions are answered:
- How did 2007 scanner shipments change in comparison to the same period in last year' s report?
- How quickly will document imaging scanners shipments grow in the United States, and what are the expected shipments in 2012?
- Which segments provide opportunities for growth based on unit shipments and value of shipments?
"2007 was a great year for workgroup scanners. With demand for distributed
scanning solutions growing, vendors providing personal workgroups and
workgroups scanners will continue to experience unit shipment growth during the
forecast period. However, vendors that offer a full line of distributed and
production scanners will sustain greater profits," says Ron Glaz, IDC program
director, Digital Imaging Solutions and Services.
