Abstract
This IDC study presents IDC' s 2007 market sizing and 2008-2012 spending
forecast for hosting infrastructure services. In total, spending on HIS was
estimated to have reached C$539 million in 2007 and it is expected to reach
C$594 million in 2008. HIS spending is led by Web hosting services, which
accounted for approximately 70% of total market spending in 2007.
"The HIS market is one of the fastest growing IT services market segments in
Canada, and there are a variety of opportunities for vendors in the Web hosting
market in addition to ancillary storage and management services offerings,"
says Jim Westcott, research manager, IDC Canada.
