Abstract
This IDC study outlines the market opportunities in the Asia/Pacific (excluding
Japan) or APEJ managed storage services market and details the spending and
buying patterns and behavior of enterprises in the region.
"Managed storage services have been around for the longest time, it disappeared
somewhat after the dot com bust but it has reemerged again," says Adrian
Dominic Ho, research manager, Managed Services and Enterprise Networks, IDC
Asia/Pacific. "There is an enormous increased in the amount of data that needs
to be stored and enterprises are grappling with its complexity and the numerous
compliance issues that have arisen. This will ultimately translate to increased
amount of dollar spent on storage services including managed storage services."
