Abstract
This IDC study examines the Canadian IT security market for the period from
2005 to 2012. Canadian market sizes and trends are provided for 2007, and a
five-year growth forecast for this market is shown for 2008-2012. The market
for IT security hardware, software, and services grew in 2007 to reach $1.26
billion. Over the forecast period, IDC Canada projects low double-digit growth.
By 2012, the market for IT security products and services will be valued at
over $2.1 billion, for a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10%. "The
security market in Canada is a growth leader, but factor economic turmoil into
your sales and marketing plans," says David Senf, director Canadian Security
and Software Research.
