Abstract
This IDC study examines the dynamics of the China gaming console market. It
looks at market strategies, drivers, dynamics, the competitive landscape, and
vendor profiles. It also included a 2008-2012 forecast.
"Before Sony and Microsoft release their PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 officially
in China, they have to set up long-term strategies to build good relationships
with the China government and local distributors, plus a suitable market
campaign planning. It is a long run for console vendors to transform this
potential market into a real profit market," says Bryan Yuan, senior analyst,
Vertical Industry and Consulting Team, IDC China.
