Abstract
This IDC study covers the technology factors that are enabling change, and the
market forces that are driving that change. IDC believes these factors will
offer challenges, and more importantly, create an environment for increased
innovation and a reinvigoration across the broad computing marketplace. Since
major changes such as this take time to develop, IDC has created a 10-year view
from 2006 to 2015 in order to better characterize the market changes.
