Abstract
This study discusses the market for hardcopy peripherals - single function and
multifunction. It does not cover point-of-sale printers or small-format
printers featuring widths of less than eight inches. Neither does it cover
wide-format (A0) products, sometimes known as plotters. The forecasts contain
data for the Baltic States peripherals market from 2008 through 2012. Unit
shipment, value of shipment, and average street price (ASP) information is
presented. Data for 2006-2007 is actual, whereas data for 2008-2012 is
projected.
"The Baltic States HCP market grew healthily in 2007. Thanks to increasing
consumer purchasing power, shipments of inkjet MFPs drove the overall market.
In addition, a gradual decline in the average prices of laser devices meant the
SoHo segment accounted for the bulk of both mono laser MFP and mono laser
printer purchases. In the business segment, the popularity of complex printing
management solutions and awareness of color laser technology' s advantages are
constantly growing." - Przemek Kowalski, Research Analyst, IDC CEMA.
