Abstract
This IDC study examines different types of home offices and their preferences
for printers and MFP brands and technology.
"As printer and MFP ownership approaches saturation, three factors will
characterize the home office segment: the increasing appeal of multifunction
devices; the critical role played by replacement and additional machines; and
the rapid adoption of more sophisticated color laser and solid ink technology,"
said Justin Jaffe, IDC senior research analyst, SMB/Home Office. "It is
important for vendors hoping to increase their share of this growing market to
understand the changing brand and technology preferences for printers and MFPs."
