This IDC study analyzes the mobile market opportunity in Switzerland. In
addition to identifying the key trends currently shaping the market, the study
profiles all the wireless operators.
"The Swiss mobile market faces similar challenges to many others around Europe.
While subscriber growth is relatively strong, revenues are falling due to
competitive and regulatory pressures on prices. Customers are therefore
enjoying the benefit of lower mobile phone bills. Unfortunately for operators,
this means lower ARPU, and all three operators are faced with the challenge of
halting this decline and then reversing it. While all three operators have
attractive packages on offer, Swisscom seems to have a clear advantage for
three main reasons," said Jonathan Arber, senior research analyst for IDC' s
